Haggen to Expand from 18 Stores to 164 Stores with Major Acquisition
December 19th 2014Pacific Northwest grocery chain Haggen today announced that it has entered into an agreement to acquire 146 stores. With this acquisition, which remains subject to FTC approval, Haggen will expand from 18 stores with 16 pharmacies to 164 stores with 106 pharmacies; from 2,000 employees to more than 10,000 employees.

Bayer Appoints Cardinal Health as US-Based Contract Manufacturer for Xofigo Injection
December 18th 2014Bayer HealthCare and Cardinal Health today announced the signing of a 15-year agreement for the contract manufacturing of Xofigo (radium Ra 223 dichloride). As part of the agreement, Cardinal Health will build a state-of-the art, 64,000 square foot facility in Indianapolis, which will be dedicated exclusively to the manufacturing of Xofigo. Product manufactured at this facility will primarily be distributed in the United States and Canada.
