This Veterans Day, we should be thankful for those who have served on our behalf to keep us safe and free at home.

In an article published on November 8, 2014, in Becker’s Hospital Review, 9 military veterans who are now hospital and health system executives describe how their military experience taught them the lessons they are using to be more effective health care leaders.

As we give our thanks for the contributions veterans have made on our behalf, we can also appreciate how they continue to contribute to us throughout their civilian lives, as well.
