Pharmacy Students Grapple With History Questions in Final Round of Pharmacy Times® Pharmacy Face-Off Gameshow

During this round, students were allowed to collaborate with their teammates to come up with the answers, and they wagered their points with each question.

In the final round of the Pharmacy Times® Pharmacy Face-Off Gameshow, students from the University of the Sciences Philadelphia College of Pharmacy and students from the Rutgers University Ernest Mario School of Pharmacy grappled with questions about the history of pharmacy and popular culture references to the field.

During this round, students were allowed to collaborate with their teammates to come up with the answers, and they wagered their points with each question.

Questions in this round addressed the origins of American Pharmacists Month, actors who have portrayed pharmacists in movies and television, and the founding father who helped establish the first public hospital pharmacy.

Students participating from the Ernest Mario School of Pharmacy included Emily Abdelmessih, Nandini Patel, Cara Trulli, and Kelly Reitmeyer. David Dill, Cynthia Ly, Alex Greene, and Karen Namubiru competed from the Philadelphia College of Pharmacy, and the gameshow was hosted by Maurice Shaw, PharmD, also known as the Sassy Pharmacist.
