Today, we’re thanking Lusine Khachatryan, PharmD, RPh, a staff pharmacist at Vons Pharmacy in Tujunga, California. In addition to taking care of her patients and coworkers, Khachatryan has taken extra time to educate patients about safety measures during the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic.

“Ever since the COVID-19 scare started taking place, she has been on the front lines at work each and every single day, even though she has a family to care for (including children and elderly),” said Mera Zakhary, a P4 pharmacy intern who works with Khachatryan, in a message to Pharmacy TimesÒ. “I believe that Lucy is a true pharmacy hero, and sets a great example of how pharmacists are serving on the front lines of this pandemic.”

Pharmacy Times wants to celebrate the amazing pharmacy staff members who are on the front lines every day. Nominate someone in your pharmacy by emailing [email protected] with their name, position, and why they’re a hero!
