Jim Kirby, PharmD, BCPS, CDE: With the evolution of value-based care, health plans and employers are looking for different providers or different ways to close gaps in care, and pharmacies and pharmacists are very well positioned to help them meet their HEDIS scores or their star ratings because of the access that we have to the patients. So, chain pharmacies are actually very well-positioned just with the number and size of these companies to reach more people than perhaps others could.
