Health Care Professionals Work Together to Provide Best Care Possible in Medically Integrated Practice

In this clip from the National Community Oncology Dispensing Association, Jan Montgomery, PharmD, Director of Pharmacy at South Carolina Oncology, explains what it means to be medically integrated.

Transcript:

Medically integrated means that you’re just part of the practice of pharmacy within the doctor’s office, within the private practice. We aren’t just a stand alone, we’re not out there by ourselves. We utilize other departments within the practice—social work, nursing, our physicians are right there and accessible, so we can all work together doing the best for our patients.
