OTC/Lifestyle Pearl of the Day: OTC Cough Control

Indication: Cough suppressant and antihistamine to lower the frequency and intensity of coughing.

Insight:

  • Could be used for either wet or dry cough, as well as for itchy and sore throat, and chest tightness.
  • Take orally by holding tablet in the mouth until completely dissolved, without food.
  • Take 1 to 2 tablets, 3 times daily.
  • For severe symptoms, take 4 to 6 times daily for the first 3 days.
  • For ages 3 and up.
