Indiana has recently seen a rash of young suspects attempting pharmacy robberies.

Just this week, an 11-year-old boy armed with a handgun was arrested for allegedly trying to rob a Walgreens in the Indianapolis area, according to The Indy Star.

The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department told the paper that officers responded quickly to the scene on September 22, 2015, and found the young boy attempting to hold up the Walgreens. He was taken into custody and later sent to a juvenile intake center.

No one was injured during the incident, The Indy Star reported.

Around noon that same day, another Walgreens was robbed by a 16-year-old carrying an unknown firearm.

At about 10 p.m. that night, a boy around 16 gave a robbery note to a CVS technician but left without taking anything.

The next day, another robbery was attempted at the same Walgreens that the 11-year-old boy tried to rob, but the 18-year-old suspect failed to complete it, according to The Indy Star.

Within a 24-hour span, there were at least 7 incidents of pharmacy robberies involving young suspects, the paper reported.
